Default LR3 Coil Conversion with suspension error

Hello
I bought a 2006 LR3 that already has an Atlantic British standard ride coil conversion but i am still getting suspension fault light. I have being doing some research and there is a ton of information out there but it all seems to be oriented to LR3's with air suspension. My disco still has the height sensors connected for some reason, i can drive it normally, no 30mph limit message, the reflash overdrive module seems to be flashing and working correctly but i can't go into 4lo or terrain modes. The instructions on the Atlantic British site state to remove the height sensors but since i am new to these suv's and they seem to have more sensors and electronics involved than a space x rocket i dont want to mess anything up. Any info or tips would be greatly aprecciated, i am also looking for a proper scan tool, any recommendations?? Thanks

I don’t know anything about those coil conversions, but this should help you with locating and removing the sensors:

For a scan tool, people are generally going to recommend the GAP IID tool. If you have a budget and limited need for accessing modules because you are interested in only clearing codes, there is an option from Autel that is modestly popular on Disco3.co.Uk forum.

Just unplug the sensors and leave them in place see if that solves your issue

Is the reflash module hardwired/spliced at the ecu, or is it just plugged into the OBDii port? It should be hardwired. Also, as ArmyRover said, you just need to unplug the height sensors (in the wheel wells), the sensors do not have to be removed. The Atlantic British video for the RR Sport/LR3 coil conversion is very helpful on both these points. I did the conversion last month -- no faults and all special programs are available.

I know it's a year later, but did disconnecting the sensors work for you?

I’d say about 4% of rover owners report back after asking for help on forums. Says alot of rover owners lol.
