Coolant leak
Hey thanks ahead of time. I have 2006 LR3 . Love it but getting over it due to this coolant leak that I have been trying to fix for several months now.
1st- Initially when I noticed the leak I traced it to the water pump. I replaced the water pump. 2nd- Then I went back and noticed the thermostat housing leaking. So I replaced the thermostat housing. 3rd- I noticed the leak still coming from the area of the water pump and or the bottom (top of housing was clean) of the thermostat housing. 4th I decided maybe the gaskets on the water pump are no good. So I decided to replace the gasket that goes in the water pump as well as the gasket that goes from pump to engine block, both with paper gaskets.
Unfortunately it is still leaking. On the last go while I was replacing the gaskets I also made sure to tighten it down a bit more than usual. This car is still leaking from the same area and I am at a loss 😣 does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks again!!!
