New Used LR3 Electrical Issues
Hey! I was dumb again and bought another LR3 after selling my last one 5+ years ago now. Well I really like the vehicle but on day one I'm seeing some electrical issues. Maybe some of you might help point me in the right direction on some of these things. I can still bring the vehicle back to the place I got it but would like to know a little about the issues beforehand.
1. Tire pressure indicator. Comes on and off rapidly. Wondering if I have a TPS going bad.
2. Was sitting at idle in the driveway for a while seeing if i could pair my phone and after about 15 minutes the whole dash (just driver dash, not radio area) does dead. Car is still running but everything is dark and rpm, gas, temp all drop dead. I backed it up and then drove it forward and put in park. Soon as I put it in park it all came back on. All except for the lower area that shows outside temp, ride height, etc is still blank or barely visible. I take it out and drive around the block and by the time I get back its all back up and visible. Like it slowly powered up. Crazy right?
3.When going up and down with ride height I'm getting an error going back from High to Normal and have to hold the lever down for a few extra seconds to get it to go into normal road height. Guessing this is possibly a bad or multiple bad ride height sensors.
Other than that I'm in this thing for the long haul, I like the car, want to make it a light overlander and enjoy it. Not worried about a little work.
Any insight would be appreciated. Cheers.

I just spent 2 hours reading on here about people with similar issues. I should probably just give up right now and set the thing on fire....
Anyhow, I'll get the tool I guess and head down the rabbit hole.
update: holy crap that tool is expensive.

1 - bad command module, its up in the headliner about where the rear AC controls are if equip. This is a known issue with that stupid thing. If you get the GAP tool you can disable it. If you like TPMS like I do, cause I actually take my truck bad places, you need to replace the module.
2- Could be a battery or alt issue, but its probable its a bad cluster. Need to dig deeper. Could even be a loose connector.
3 - What error? Sorta need to know it to help. But if you play with the thing a lot you are emptying the reservoir and you have to rely on the compressor only. It will thus raise very slowly and may even say so. Normal if that is the case.

Thanks for the help!
1.Ok, thanks. Damn, that's a chore. But I'd also like to keep the tpms so I'll try switching that out.
2.Yes, all signs seem to be pointing towards a cluster issue. The place I got it from is going to fix it. Just got word last night.
3.I'll check on what the exact wording is but it's basically acting like there is an obstruction that is not allowing it to go down. Like if you were on a big rock or something.
3 - So it says something about extended mode? I have seen this happen with a faulty compressor. There seem to be some logic states that the system can get into that cause that even when its not hung up. Had this issue with a neighbors LR3. But we have not rules out a faulty height sensor causing it too, because it worsened when we tried to calibrate it to a new height.
As a follow up to this. I brought the vehicle back and they removed the instrument cluster and sent it to someone in Washington State to have it repaired. It seems to be working fine now and I'm working through the myriad of other issues that the vehicle has that were never properly taken care of.
