Couple things for the brain trust....
Maybe it just didn't "sit' right in Reverse that time? It sure doesn't happen on the regular....or maybe ever before. There is no way anything spilled on it. I don't eat or drink in that vehicle.
Dakota, is this something that lubricating the linkage (as you've mentioned in other threads) could help with?

My 2005 pops out of 1 when using Command Shift. I downshift from 2 to 1, and it pops back into 2. It did that ever since the CA Stop issue was fixed. I always figured it was a by-product of the new algorithm.
My 2006 will sometimes just not go into 1 from 2.It just stays in 2.
I'm hoping that new linkages on both LR3s will remedy this, too!

Houm_wa any updates on yours? I seem to be experiencing a similar problem, same fault message, but I’m getting communication codes and shift lockout.
I had mine replaced and it didn't make a difference in the behavior I was experiencing, so it must have been something else. Oh well, the parts were so cheap I figured it was worth a shot.
