Bit the bullet and bought LR "Special Transfer case oil". Not cheap $50 per litre.
It looks like 80 W 90 but has a seriously awful smell.
Wish I had taken a picture of the back street workshop in Muscat that I got the oil drained at, no pit or ramp the mechanic slid under the car drained the oil into a small basin. To fill he used a home made contraption.
Paid $12 labour, LR quoted me almost $250 and it would take a day!!!!
