Difficulty Starting In The Morning
One way to test DakotaTravelers theory (fuel starvation issue on startup) is to turn the key to "on" wait for about 5-10 seconds for the fuel pump to pressurize the system before trying to start. On a lot of cars you can hear the pump running. Not so much on these. You may have to cycle it twice or three times before starting.

It is cranking over for sure. Cranks until it times out. After timing out once or twice, it starts right up. Once in a while I'm fortunate and it starts the first time but usually requires a few attempts.

Hiya. I'm still here :-) So I never did figure it out. I just kept on using the vehicle and at some point, I can't say for sure when but maybe about a month or two later, it was starting normally. I don't remember doing anything special. I know at some point I poured a can of octane booster in the tank at one of my fill-ups. But this was more because of the poor fuel quality in my part of the world, not really the hard starting. Maybe it was a factor, maybe it wasn't. I honestly can't tell. I hope yours doesn't last too long and you manage to get it fixed. All the best!
I have seen this before on some Ford engines. With residual pressure left on the fuel rail after the engine is shut off, the injectors leak down allowing the fuel to pool in the cylinders. It takes a quite a few cranks to clear the fuel to get it to a proper fuel/air ratio where it will start.
Not saying this is your issue because you said it was dying when you come to a stop sometimes. I suppose if the injectors leak after a shut down, they could be leaking too much during a drive cycle. Have you tried any injector cleaning procedures?
If you have tried / replaced everything else, it may be worth it to pull one of the injectors and see what it looks like, and maybe do injector cleaning.

hello, I got my lr3 in November when the whether was cold. I had trouble getting to start in the morning. When the weather warmed up, it started right away. Now that it’s about 77 degrees in the am, I’m having trouble all over again. I watched a video of a man pouring hot water on a temp sensor to start it up right away, but I can’t find it on mine. Any idea where to locate?
