I read it as he's going to take his 18" LR3 wheels and attempt to install them on a LR4. I don't know about caliper sizes on the LR4... probably gonna need a trial fit. I see the LR4 brake calipers are different part numbers than the LR3, so they may be larger or a different shape. I'm sure the wheels would bolt to the hub, but the wheel may rub on the caliper.

Not sure what engines you guys got in the D4 but for rest of world it goes like this - minimum sizes for D3 models petrol V6 and 2.7TDV6 17" , V8 18' , early D4 with 2.7 TDV6 18", 3.0ltr TDV6/SCV6/V8 19".
So i'd say that was no.

I've read they will fit with 30mm (or 1.25") spacers.

Thank you guys. Yes I am asking because I have 18" wheels with larger tires on my LR3 as I am running Johnson Rods. I am looking to make the jump to a 2016 LR4 but of course it comes with 19" wheels. Id like to just just swap them if possible to avoid buying new wheels for the LR4.

Pretty sure you need to shave the calipers even with spacers,i'd stick to the 19's or get aftermarket 18's.

Default Oh I knew what you meant...

I just don't think the LR4 is an upgrade! 😁

Do the LR3 18” wheels fit the earlier LR4 with the 5 Litre V8, or would spacers be needed?

I recall being at the parts department at the dealership and they said the 18’s are a straight swap.

Not sure about the 5ltr but they fit on the 4.4, i think 5ltr has bigger breaks again.
