Drain question w/pics ;)
Hi guys,
question: is there a drain plug/hose for the rear section on the fixed sunroof on the '06 LR3 V6 ?
I know about the two drains from the A/C and front sunroof ...but Im finding little water coming directly from rear pillar base past rear door and sitting on the side corner edge next to rear pass seat...only thing I thought about doing, if no drain is present, is to seal the outside gaps around the glass with clear silicone...thoughts?

As far as I know there is no internal drain hose for the large glass roof panel. That should all be factory sealed, as well as the side windows. It could be that there is a seal that has gone bad, but I've never heard of it. I would bet that it has to do with the door opening and maybe the weatherstripping not sealing correctly. The only other thing I can think of is the roof rail attachment points, but I doubt that's the issue unless you've had someone drilling around up there.
Either way, you don't want to mess up the look of your truck by putting silicone in the gaps. It may not stick for long either, as these gaps tend to flex a bit.

Yes.
Your front sunroof has four ports of drain. two start in the front of the tray/gutter to both A pillars and exit by the front wheels and other two exit from a rear sunroof tray towards B or C pillars and travel down to the rear wheels .It has been so long since I fixed my leak, since the rear carpet behind a rear seats was soaked. As I was investigating with a headliner partially hanging down I discovered that rear rubber drain hose on the passenger side has disconnected itself from a plastic gutter pipe and also inside a C pillar and spilled water all over .It rained furiously that night and I parked uphill on the driveway.
I don't know if it is your problem but to answer your question , there are rear rubber hoses above headliner but they lead from front mechanical sunroof ,NoT the rear fixed glass. Cheers

You won't be able to see a rear drain tubes without taking a half of the roofline off. The drain holes are visible on the rear of the sunroof tray, but not the rubber hoses that drain the water down all the way to a C pillars which are directly behind a second row seats.
