Did you pull that LR logo stamped sill plastic plate to verify no water below it? But usually if I see this it is after a car wash. I have also see it when the upper door gutter seal is damaged missing. This is a seal that runs from the mirror and all the way above and over both doors to the back. If missing too much water gets between the outer door seal when raining, especially when driving since it can easily work its way past.

The carpets and area below are clean and dry. Must be the seal around the door, as there are bits missing.
Check if your door has drainage on the bottom. If it does, is it wet? if it is, then your outer belt molding maybe damaged or worn. Water maybe getting in between the belt and glass. Check your weatherstrip, Your door shell and uniside opening should have no contact with each other besides the weatherstrip sealing the opening from the elements. The door shell also has weatherstrips, check those as well.

Timing is everything. Last night I fired it up, took it for a spin, dropped the drivers door window and upon winding it up, it was wet on the glass.
Do you have diagrams to the mentioned parts to check inside the door?
That is where the water pools when your drains are blocked, get some tube and suck it out or one of those oil syringes, then stuff some old towels between the carpet and floor to soak up some of that water.
The sponge underlay takes a lot to dry out and you'll need to squeeze it quite a few times and a few changes of towels.

As I have already mentioned, I have already cleaned out the drain tubes and applied the TSB for the aluminium tape in the pillars.
As mentioned, carpet is dry on drivers side, no water inside the cabin.
Weather molding is my next fix as there is moisture inside the door as confirmed when rolling a dry window down and it comes back up wet.

Unless you drained it out its still sitting there sloshing around., also check the cabin filter as the cowl if not sealed lets water down behind the carpet.

To re-iterate, filter is dry and checked out. Interior is dry on both sides.
You seem to be adamant.
I used grass trimmer twine/string and fed it down. There is no wetness inside on the carpets on the drivers side or passenger side. Drainage tubes are still in good order and connected at the bottom and not rotted through. It has sat through some serious rain since and it is not wet inside the cabin.
Appreciate your enthusiasm, but, @aljpro2000 has provided insight into why there is moisture in the door. Once I have replaced the part referred to I will report back.
