Electrical issue? Transmission?

Electrical issue? Transmission?
Hi everyone, own a 2005 LR3, 140, xxx miles.
Found some typical issues with water on floorboard, fixed the drain boot. Low coolant, fixed the float. Leaking tranny pan, replaced pan and filter. Running great, no issues. . .and then,
One day drivers power seat goes dead. Nada, zip, zilch. Begin to have some transmission slop. It stutters, from acceleration. More of a shake, until 3rd gear. Then drives smooth.
Initial thought was transmission is going. But now I am wondering if it is an electrical issue. I have noticed that it sometimes drives fine, other times less so. A hard accelerator causes the jerking. A slow even accelerator seems to be just fine. Although irritating to drivers behind me. . ..
I have pulled the CJB, checked every fuse. Made sure it was clean and all connections were tight.
I found a replacements Rover seat for 125 bucks, replaced my non working seat, nothing.
While transmission, drivers seat are not necessarily connected, with history of water in the car, electrical issues commonly found in the LR3. . .I wonder.
My question is this two fold. I don't think seat and transmission are linked. I wonder if I need a transmisson reflash. I don't want to pay a dealer, so can I use the GAP IID tool to reflash the tranny among other things? Second, anyone just have the electric seat go out for no reason?
Love and hate that Rover. . .any help appreciated.

Check your floorboards again to be sure you don't still have a leak.
Can leak just as bad from the a-pillar covers and from the cowl.
A-pillar covers leak because of broken clips, a new set of clips are like $20 and 5 min to do so worth the piece of mind either way.
To check the cowl pull your cabin air filter (behind glove box next to fuse panel). If it's wet the cowl is leaking and unfortunately it leaks onto electrical components in the engine bay.
