EPB Cable
Hi all,
I have a shop trying to replace the EPB cable on the driver's side. Does the exhaust have to be removed? Is there a better/easier way to do it?
Thanks,
HOUM

Those can be hell to replace. But if I recall, the spare needs to be removed and it can be accessed up through that way. The EVAP canister may be in the way too. But basically I think you can get it from up and over the crossmember more easily than from straight below. But be warned, they are often fused to the brake shield and often do not come off well. When installing new, use plenty of something that can prevent corrosion.
Thanks Dakota! I'll pass that along to the shop doing the job. The prior cable must have been fused as you mention; they had to cut it in order to get the hub out - getting that wheel bearing changed - and now getting the new cable back in is....a chore.
