Default Freezing Suspension Height?

So this year, I'm staying on the pavement. Is it safe/smart to freeze the suspension height to prevent it from over-reacting over the slightest inclines and declines. Will this increase suspension life? While I usually don't mind the sensitivity off road, it seems like an over zealous function right now.

I think the best thing then is to just drive it, and don't touch the switch.

In theory you can disconnect the ride height sensors (mechanically not electrically) , and then lock the arm in place at the exact spot of your normal ride height, so the computer will be fooled into thinking your ride height hasn't changed

I can't prove it, but I believe the suspension is a bit more proactive and dynamic than that. It seems to behave differently under performance highway conditions. It will level the vehicle on the road, as well as off the road in standard height. It seems a bit counter-intuitive to consider disabling it to save where and tear. Just drive it, and enjoy it, that is the point of having it.

If you REALLY want to, noob, you can pull the EAS-related fuses.
