Just curious regarding the front rotor sizes.

Are the 337mm rotors for LR3’s with the stock 18”-19” rims as the front brake system is large?


Are the 317mm rotors for the LR3’s with the smaller diameter stock oem rims as they have a smaller front brake system?

I think the 317mm are for the V6 engined LR3 and the larger 337mm one is for the V8 engined LR3s. I'm sure someone else will chime in if I'm wrong...

 

As I recall, enb54 is correct. In the North American markets, the V6 is equip with smaller calipers and rotors. This is partially a market difference as 17" wheels were only readily available in Euro/Aussie markets, those smaller wheels required smaller brake hardware. Also in those markets the V6 or diesel variants were popular. So basically in all markets V6/diesel had smaller calipers regardless of wheel size.

Side note: I believe the caliper itself is the same in all markets, its the caliper carrier that is different in the fronts only. The rears I am not sure about, could be the same caliper again with a different carrier. But I never looked into it.


edit: Well I did look into things. This is just for the record and to help those searching. The difference is indeed just caliper carriers and rotors. So if you have a V8 or want to covert to the smaller 17" wheels, you need smaller rotors front (SDB000604) and rear (SDB000636). You also need different front carriers: SEH500012 And different rear carriers: SXP500013
