Default Front Sway Bar Bushings - Question

I think mine are going bad, but here's my question:

I need to order new bushings from AB or another parts supplier but don't know for sure if I have the stability control or ACE, and AB just told me over the phone that the bushing types are not interchangeable, and I cannot discern whether or not I have it on my 3.

My gut feeling is that yes, I have the stability control/ACE, but don't want to spend $$$ on the wrong part.

Anyone got fast and easy ways to tell the difference? I didn't even know they made disco 3's in our market without the feature.

I don't think you are getting good information. I'm no Disco Expert but I think ACE is an optional feature on D2s. The LR3 has 4ETC and DSC and I've not heard of different kinds of swaybar bushings.

Just order it from a dealer or online dealer OEM ARB bushings.

Just which spec. D2 do you have? The 7 seater ES nearly always had ACE, but to be sure have a look under the car roughly in line with the front passenger seat, if you see an alloy block with several pipes coming out of the front and rear of it then you have ACE. The block under the car is the ACE valve block.

I have an LR3 not a D2, so I didn't expect to have this issue. However on the AB site there are two types, one for vehicles with ACE, and one for those without. Owners manual lists nothing beyond the DSC. On the old D2, the power steering reservoir had the ACE system connected to it too if I remember correctly. Nothing in my engine bay or drive train screams "ACE".

All this strikes me as funny, but I cannot for the life of me tell which bushings to order. Anyone done these before and remember what they used?

Sorry forgot which forum I was on. The LR3 does not have ACE, this is a feature of the D2. The LR3 has Dynamic Stability Control.

The only time there would be a different roll bar bush would be if you had an armoured LR3 and I doubt that. The part you are looking for is LR015336.
