Thanks guys. The disco3 was some good help. Everything went well. I used a shaft puller to get the assembly off of the spline. Interesting that this part of the process is not in the explanation. It came off real nice with that. The rest of it was pretty easy.
It was definitely the hub bearings on the drivers side. New hub and no noise.
Some particulars. 85K on the LR3, bought one Timken assembly from Rock Auto and one extra one from Amazon. The Amazon one got here first, so that's the one I put on. I may do the other side just for prevention, we'll see.
