Default Gas Quality Canada vs. US

Hey guys,
I live in Surrey BC. I recently got my Nexus card and started going to the states (Blaine/Bellingham WA) for gas. Some people have said that they go down for gas and they find it fine. Others have said that US gas gives their vehicles problems. I was wondering if people know of this. In Canada we have a 94 fuel, in US 92 is the highest. I'm thinking Premium is Premium where ever it is. Has anyone else heard of this gas quality debate? is US gas "bad" for the LR3? Anyone had problems? Compared to here i save at least 30-40 bucks on a fill up, and its only like 15 km to get and 15 km come back from the border.
Let me know
Thanks guys

Does Canadian gas have ethanol added? Hard to get away from that corn based stuff down here, it certainly is blamed for reduced performance and does seem to cause problems in engines that are stored for extended periods (like boats). The area I live in has the base stock of gasoline come in on huge barges. The terminal then adds whatever "magic" chemical a particular brand wants and delivers it to their stations. So all the brands, both national and indy, near us are using the same basic stock, just different "flavoring".

Out west the octane can vary from 84-93, but yes the usual octane is 87,89,93.

I've been getting gas for the truck for about 4 months now from the states. I've actually seen better fuel economy then the gas here. I can drive the same amount on a tank for two weeks, were here i can sometimes run out in a week or 9 days ish. I'm not finding any difference in the performance. So, it might just be one of those "things" people have superstitions about. I'm still getting the highest one 92 so hopefully everythings okay. If any one has more info please share!
