General Brake misery -Stuck Caliper?
Ok - I realize I've got another thread going on about brakes, but I have two questions:
Replaced all the rotors and pads - all 4 corners. Took it for a spin, noticed a slight burning smell, but put it down to bedding in. Took it for a longer drive and there was def. something not right. Strong metal burning smell and vibration.
When I was working on the right rear wheel, the calliper I noticed was very hard to push back in. I had to use a wrench on my c clamp handle to gain leverage to turn to push in back. BUT - because this was my first brake job AND the first caliper I tackled, I thought this was normal. The pads that came off this one wheel were completely obliterated so I was surprised when doing the other wheels they were not as badly worn.
Anyway, this wheel also needed new slide pins, which were greased well.
So:
1) Stuck Caliper - Given the above description, does this mean I should replace the caliper, after checking for ease of slide on the slide pins?
2) If I replace the calliper, do all wheels have to be bled or just the wheel I worked on?
3) Is there a rule for replacing callipers in pairs? Can I just do one?
