General Concerns
#11
To all the folks with their helpful insight, I have an update:
It turns out that I found a better LR3 after a bit more searching and it was with a large reputable and highly rated Subaru dealership in Cape Cod compared to the independent dealer the other LR3 was at. Although it is a Subaru dealer, they also specialize in high-end pre-owned vehicles. This was a dealer that I felt very comfortable with. I ended up paying about $1,000 more, but it was worth it for piece of mind. I won't even waste everyone's time with the horror story at the independent dealer I had.
If this vehicle was at a LR dealer in my area, it would have been 29K-30K. I practically stole this thing at the price we paid!!!
Here are the facts:
2006 LR3 SE7
V8
24,000 miles
Silver/Black int.
NAV, Cold Climate Package, etc.
Under Factory warranty until 10/10. All software updates and recalls have already been completed.
It's at the local LR dealer this morning getting it's scheduled maint. done and I will be picking it up later on this afternoon.
Can't wait to take this thing out on the beach and hopefully give a stuck Jeep a pull!!!!
Thanks to everyone who helped.

Lr3
Congrats on your new LR!! Have fun!
I also purchased a pre-owned LR3 from a non-LR dealer while still under factory warranty. It has been a worry-free experience so far after having the dealer go through any warranty items and service.
I chose an independent LR mechanic for my oil changes since they used LR parts and quality oil. Price was about $100 including tax (8qts x $3, $20 LR filter, $45 for 1/2hr labor, tax).
Now it's time to take that LR3 out on the beach/trails!

Got my LR3 from an Independent dealer and the dealer had got the recalls and everything done. I got the Lr3 V6 Se no third row but i didn't need the 3rd row. Loved the vehicle in the winter because of the Terrain Response. Great stereo Ipod is okay with the aux cable. Got it checked by the Land Rover Dealer and they said it was great.
If you still have concerns get a 07 because they will have less bugs then the 05's and 06s.
Hope you enjoy ur Lr3

What kind of issues are not apparent on the 07? How are you certain of the better reliability with the 07 over the 06? Thanks
