What radio did you wind up using? and what are your plans for mounting it? I know my ideas are not always the best or even original sometimes, so I am always looking to see how other solve the same problem.

I went with a midland set so I could mount it along the seat and center console as shown. Seems to be working great!

 

Midland MXT 275? I have one of those in my 2003 Mini Cooper. I used it A LOT this last month in the MTTS 2022. The small size was very handy. The Rover on the other hand serves a "different" purpose for me.

Yep, MXT275. Works great for trail comms, but yeah, I use the Yaesu ham radio and Aussie antenna setup on my D2 for long range communication ;-) Thanks and you too!
