Grinding/Rubbing-Front Left while going Uphill or Accelerating
I have a 2005 LR3 with 128k miles on it and an issue I am struggling to resolve. I found some other threads on the issue, but no definitive solutions. When going uphill slowly, there is a rubbing/grinding very slight groan coming from underneath the front left side. This also happens under initial acceleration and then at a certain point the noise/rubbing feeling goes away. It can be felt through the floorboard and steering wheel. I also seem to notice this upon deceleration at certain points. My mechanic initially thought it was the wheel bearings so we replaced those, along with the worn out rotors and pads, but the problem persists.
Has anyone else had a rubbing/almost grinding/groaning type of feeling from underneath the front left side while going uphill or under initial acceleration? I'm really stumped on this one, currently suspecting either the front differential or a CV axle.

Does turning affect it?
It could be a rear wheel bearing. It could be the carrier bearing that supports the driveshaft. It could be the front diff or the t-case. Probably not the t-case or diff if the noise/vibration goes away in a turn.

Turning does not seem to have much impact on it. It will still happen in turns and is more noticeable going up or downhill. I had the rear driveshaft replaced already due to the failing carrier bearing, so I don't believe it is that. Unless there is a front driveshaft carrier bearing I'm not aware of. I'm leaning towards the front differential or CV axles. Will likely have my mechanic drain and refill the front diff fluid to see how it looks and go from there.
