Default Half of Driver Seat Not Sliding Forward

Hey folks! 2008 LR3 SE, no memory seats.

My driver seat just started doing this. It will slide back (power seats, using the switch) but only half of it attempts to slide forward. So half the seat will slide forward until it's too crooked in the seat frame, binds up and stops. Last year I did the 'seat rock' fix and it's been working great until today.

Coincidentally, I had my instrument cluster out today troubleshooting some intermittent instrument cluster power failures but it doesn't seem like they would be related? Thanks in advance for any advice!

I had this problem. The worm gear on that side has gotten jammed up.
You can take it apart and may be able to unjam it. I had to replace the whole "H" shaped mount. As a side note, the motor is mounted in the middle and used cables to drive the worm gear on each side.

Part number is LR021396 and here is the diagram

This part has the worm gear and motor

Hope this helps

Jeff
