Default help with 05 LR3 Driveshaft?

My 05 LR3 driveshaft is giving me the death wobble every once in awhile, i went underneath the rover to see the center bushing is shot. Can i just replace the bushing, or should i replace the front and rear?

Yes, but it’s a bit of work. It’s not really a serviceable part. I just bought a low mileage one from eBay. The bearing, with rubber and bracket are available. Just google it...

My advice, having done it about a year ago, is to buy a new drive shaft, which should come with the center bearing assembly - Bracket, rubber sleeve and bearing. Not expensive. Not a difficult swap.

Good advice. I would also advise to get the OEM GKN brand.

But, Are you sure its the shaft causing your death wobble?

That is a damn good price for an OEM shaft in the US. Should be fine, there is no "heavy duty" shaft though, they are all the same for the LR3. The rear CV shaft, however, can be different. As for AutoHaus, when I had my Benz and BMW I ordered from they all the time. They have been around a while and I never had an issue with them. Pelican Parts was another big seller of parts, but once bought out by ECS tuning they went down the tubes.

One of my previous posts in "What did you do with your LR3 today?" went into some detail about my experience changing the rear driveshaft of my LR3.

Here's where I got my driveshaft: https://www.partsgeek.com/2fjyp86-la...riveshaft.html

It's literally an OEM part, by the same exact company that made the original driveshafts.

Yup, PatsGeek one is fine too. And yes, OEM indeed.

Thank you everyone..mechanic actually came to our house with transmission guy who rebuilds for him and went out with the car for around 45 minutes and said..Driveshaft not torque converter or transmission. We look it in yesterday he put it on the lift and confirmed Driveshaft is the issue.
I was going to order from AutohausAZ but they refuse to talk on the phone and shipping from the other end of the country was $49 and PartsGeek $20 shipping from near here so went that.Thank you yet again for the advise . Atlantic British the people we usually buy from only had the ALLMAKES one so I'm happy for the advise of GKN OEM one.

Hi we just received Driveshaft from PartsGeek. Is it normal to send it UPS Ground with
pretty much no packing around it ? Is this how yours arrived ?
Thanks
