Default Help! Overheating LR3

Have a 2006 LR3 that bought new. She's got about 180,000 miles. Been maintained, was my wife's daily driver. Runs great for few days then overheats. I have taken to 2 expensive shops in Minneapolis, new radiator, 2 or 3 thermostats, thermostat housing, 2 water pumps, 2 coolant reservoirs, 3 caps, new hoses, and about 5 towings to shops. The system has been bled for air several times. Love the truck but this is ridiculous. Both shops are supposed to be dedicated LR enthusiast, the second is listed as 1 of 2 in forum so had a lot of confidence in them. Just got back Friday from the shop and major coolant burp after about an hour drive. they say it isn't head gasket, no water in oil, and until most recent action, hasn't really lost coolant by leaking, it just "disappears". Is there some sensor or quirky issue that 2 Rover shops are missing or are they just taking my money doing the replace the part game and not seriously being academic about what the issue could be. I am at a loss and need serious adult input from someone that knows these LR3 beasts! Thanks.
