Question Hitch for LR3

Want to add a class III and electric brakes to the LR3. Found everything on line at Hitches ON line and they CLAIM it is the correct plug and play for the wiring harness for the brakes and the rear plug.
Any input BEFORE I guy??

before you guy? i would go with a Curt Hitch, i ordered my off amazon.com i think for like 160 a month or two ago and it looks good and pulls great. I have a travel trailer and it pulls it perfect down the road. I think and I am not sure but the hitch is rated at 8000 pounds, i know the guy at Curt told me that when i called about fitment. I think on the hitch it says 7700 pounds which is what the LR3 is rated at

OOPS but you got the idea.
Hitch sound correct what I am worried about is the electric brake system tie in. The warning in the owners maunel warns about using the wrong system.
Since it is the wife's and one of the FEW cars in the collection that she likes I do not want to screw it up.
Thanks

actually the electric brake controller can be tied into the system with the electric brake controller harness from a 2004 F150. But the regular lights need to have the LR one. otherwise it will cause the system to go up and stay up. Seen it once when some guy thought he was smarter then the book. Cost him alot of money to reverse it and it wasn't covered under warranty.

They claim they have teh FACTORY Plug and Play Harness for the LR3 I wish there was a way to PROVE it is correct before buying. The dealer wants a total of $2,500.00 for a hitch and braking system.

buy the hitch and wiring for regular trailer wires from atlantic british. its cheaper and its a plug and play. Have the dealer install the item. Then order the brake controller. It should be separate from the trailer lighting wires.

Thanks, good plan. I have a restoration shop so install will not be a problem but just need the shop books on the LR3. Have all the books for the D1 and D2.
Drove the LR3 to Florida then to Atlante then back to S.C. I was so impressed I am looking at buying a new LR4 for myself and selling the (2) D1's I have.
