Hood not opening
another way is take the front grill off and use pliers to pull the cable.
you can take the grill off with the hood closed with a flathead screwdriver and patience. use the screwdriver to get under the hood lip and push down each tab 1 at a time (pull the grill away when pushing down).
with enough trying and swearing you can get it.
also, once you get it open, odds are you need to put the cable connector back together (small black box on the outside wall under the hood. its prone to popping open, and when it does no hood opening. when its back together, wrap a couple zip ties around it so it doesnt open again
