I mostly wheel with mod'ed Discos and RRCs in my club. Watching them flex drives me crazy. Which is why I recently picked up an old RRC myself for my next project...

BTW, I'll be not too far from you this summer, but not in the Rover. Probably picking up a charter out of Bellingham or Anacortes and heading north from there. Absolutely love it up there.

Well...MOD'd yes. They are going to out-flex an LR3....but it has other advantages. Especially stock-to-stock, but we've been over this in other posts. Crawl ratio, ground clearance down the middle, locker, wheel travel. It is what it is though.

Charter out of Bellingham headed where? I took the Alaska Ferry last year from B-Ham to Skagway...with the LR3 on-board! Drove it from there to Whitehorse, Yukon. Spent 3 days up there (saw the Aurora) and then drove it home, 1600 miles through the Yukon and BC. That was in March. Got as cold as -19F. It was an amazing trip.

Heading up to Desolation Sound and Princess Louisa Inlet this year. The further north you go, the better it gets.

Right. We took the ferry as far as you can take it. The first 3 days the water was mostly calm....the morning of day 4 was a whole different story. Lots of chop, strong winds and massive snow capped mountains jutting straight out of the water.
