124k on a 2006 LR3. Replaced the alternator, AC compressor (south texas...it runs 300 days a year), coil over spark plug, control arm bushings..... and that's it. not bad really.... almost the exact replacement parts that I did on my Chevy Tahoe..... (except for control arm bushings).

eleblanc, did you hear a whinning noise before you replaced the AC compressor? Did the fuel economy improve with you replaced the coil overs?

2006 LR3 35,000 miles.
Rear caliper locked up on the highway yesterday. Luckily we were able to slow down and send it home on a truck. Learned a lot about using the provided jack. The air suspension was quite helpful once I figured out to raise it all the way up, put the jack under the rear arm at that height, Then lower to middle height. Wheel was perfectly off the ground there.
Rusty undercarriage from P/O who stored it in their heated garage (apparently with salt on it).

Exclamation Torque converter Problems? Please help

Hi I'm new to the forums. I recently purchased a 2006 LR3 HSE with 120k that needed head gaskets. I bought a new engine on ebay with only 68k on it and swapped it a few weeks ago. I recently towed a few snowmobiles for an hour or two and then noticed my rpm's "hunting" up and down a hundred to two hundred rpms between speeds of 25 and about 60. I went to the local transmission shop and he thinks it's an engine misfire and not anything to do with the transmission/torque converter. I have no engine/DTC codes. The rpms fluctuate mostly at the lower RPMs say from 1800 to 1900 and so forth. They can be felt while the vehicle is slightly under a load and the RPMs are also visibly changing when the vehicle is going downhill without a load on the engine. What do you think I should do?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt - you should start a new thread asking for help with your issue, as this is an old thread for discussion about mileage. That will work better for you.

I just bought an 08 w/ 21k miles, best vehicle i've ever owned so far.
