how to trans service

Well the reason for the early change was to fix a leak, or I would have waited til 125k (50k past the previous change).
It was smooth before and smooth after, I didn't know how much fluid leaked out. I had hoped it would fix the "CA stop bug" but now know fresh TC fluid and a software update help that.
Drives just as well after as before for me, but I do hear of others reporting noticeable improvements after their first change with higher mileage.

Ok so i just finished he trans service with sleeve and pan conversion, there is a video on the Atlantic british site on doing this, its a great guide tells you tricks and tool sizes, a few things i did different, buy a pump from like advanced auto for $5 to put in new fluid, i see alot of guys say cut down a torx socket to get front and rear bolts after you jack up the trans, just jack up the trans and get a quality hand driver bit and put it in a 1/4" socket for 1/4" drive, use a 1/4" drive rachet and you are golden
the connector sleeve comes out easy, it sucks to put back in and breaks easy, the tab on the electrical connector does too, plus no room to work
I probably fought with that sleeve and connector for an hour rest is straight forward like in thier video

I also did not need to cut the filter tube from the old one, when i undid the bolts the oan dropped, i started turning it and heard a crack so i tugeed and the filter neck snapped off and came out with the pan , your experience may be different lol
btw my kit was from lucky 8 and i usex the valvoline max life mulit vevicle atf so we will see what happens, we are at 93k miles approximately
