WARNING - Delta Auto Protect Warranty SCAM
I posted this message a week or 2 ago within the 'Off Topic' section, but figured I would also add it here And as an update, I have discovered that there is a Facebook Group called 'People Against Delta Auto Protect' which you might like to join, if in fact you have a Delta policy.
WARNING - Delta Auto Protect is basically a SCAM company, although they have managed to operate 'legally'. ...Until now.
Great news - On February 13, the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General (PAAG) filed a civil lawsuit against the company and its owner Charles Seruya to get money back for consumers and repair shops.
I am very familiar with Delta Auto Protect - I was ALMOST stupid enough to purchase one of their Policies, and did a bunch of research afterwards, as a result of my concerns.
If you have a Delta Auto Protect Policy, I suggest you try to get it cancelled, if your policy allows you to get a Refund on the policy purchase price. Unfortunately however they now seem to be trying to 'hide' - Their website is now very basic, without hardly any information ( https://deltaautoprotect.com/ ) and in my experience this week they are not answering the phone.
If you or your repair facility have been a victim of Delta Auto Protect, I suggest you read this Better Business Bureau memo, which has more detailed information relating to the lawsuit filed against Delta Auto Protect last week, including how to file a complaint - https://www.bbb.org/us/pa/philadelph...dditional-info
Check out the Yelp.com reviews for Delta Auto Protect - https://www.yelp.com/biz/delta-auto-protect-exton-2 Unfortunately it is not possible to leave a 'zero' Star review, which is why most of the reviews are 1 star.
Sidenote - There are several other 'Warranty' companies still operating, which have owners, or 'previous' owners, with the same last name - SERUYA. Ronald... David.... Charles... Especially in the Home Warranty space. Several companies with owner last name SERUYA have been sued and/or shut down, but they keep popping up again. All seem to be based on East Coast. Perhaps an investigative journalist would like t investigate this further... Same family?
Buyer Beware !!

Some good and some bad companies out there. Never heard of Delta.I am a broker and an agency owner in the F&I industry and have access to various outlets. If you are looking for a warranty or VSC, email me your VIN, odometer and the most recent bill of sale date on your vehicle. I will get back to you with some quotes. All kinds of programs are available, from powertrain and comprehensive coverage, all the way up to manufacturer-like warranties and VSC's. Any vehicle qualifies - Doesn't matter if it's a Ford, a Chevy, a Mercedes AMG, a Mini Cooper, a Maserati, a classic Corvette, a Pontiac GTO and beyond, there are programs and plans for everybody. The vehicle does not have to be under any kind of coverage right now, I just ask that the vehicle has been taken care of.
