I have a leak coming from a part underneath the engine and I don’t know what it is.

I'm not familiar with the petrol engines but it looks like a filter housing ?

Hard to say what is leaking, you need to ID the fluid. The part is the oil filter adapter which the oil filter cooler and then the filter attach to. Never seen one leak before. But if oil is leaking there may be a gasket at the interface that failed. But it could easily be coolant that is trickling down from above.

If it is indeed the oil filter adapter leaking, the part No. for a new seal is LVF500010.

It is coolant that is leaking. So with those responses I’m thinking the water pump has gone bad and leaking on top of it

It could be the water pump, a hose or the coolant crossover tube/t-stat housing. They are plastic and tend to crack.

I just replaced the t stat housing due to cracking. I’m really thinking it’s the water pump now.

AC Delco seems to be an affordable and good replacement water pump. Also the water pump is not very difficult to replace, which is good.
