The 3.0 litre diesel D4 has the larger wheels over here, but this guy has sourced 18"s that will fit with the larger brakes - here's a few more pics....

Thanks Aussiepete.

you are correct, even the TDV6 comes with 19"s from the factory. My research appears to indicate that the brake diameter is still smaller for the TDV6, which would allow for someone to put 18" rims on without issue. If I am not mistaken, the brakes on the TDV6 disco/LR4 are the same as the Disco/LR3.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Do they sell the petrol version of the Disco 4 in Australia? If so, maybe someone could chat with a dealership to confirm brake size/diameter...

Thanks!

So I did a bit more poking around the LR site and came across the ebrochure which has the brake size specifications. Check it out here:

Discovery 4

Browse towards the back of the brochure and you will see the brake diameters. The SDV6 3.0 (aka the TDV6 3.0) has the same brakes as the V8.

Based on the info Aussiepete provided, as well as a post in the LR4 section, it looks like Green Oval Experience in Australia has indeed manufactured an 18" wheel to fit the larger brake diameter on the V8 and 3.0 TDV6.

Thanks for all the info - hopefully we can get the 18" rims in the US soon!!!

Appreciate all the helpful info posted by everyone.

I wouldnt use it. I have the load warrior which is 44" in length and fits perfectly so that the tailgate can still be opened and the sunroof can operate properly
