Im in! Just bought an 05' with 206K
It was a surprise actually, I had called the Rover dealer and had them run the VIN before I bought it, they told me it did not have the rear locker. When the vehicle arrived it had the full-size spare, and the rear locking motor was clearly visible.
Im scared now after reading that the new fluid will be too slippery and the truck won't be drivable at all. I have the fluid and filter, just not sure how to proceed. At least now I can drive it to my Land Rover techs house and he can help me fix the trans
I should have the parts car trans out this weekend, so I am debating on wether to go straight to replacing the solenoid pack(Not sure if thats the correct term) or try the service.
Thoughts?

Possible yes, but highly unlikely. You'd need the rear end, the control module, an entire body wiring harness, and a software update. It's much more likely the dealer employee didn't give 2 ****s about running the VIN.
