Houm, is that a "no way" as in disbelief or a "don't even think about it"?

Oh yeah, that custom tuning for the LR2 is totally beastmode for that new 5.0.

Actually, any engine ever made - from any manufacturer ever, this makes it twice as good.

Screw all those physics majors etc etc.. working for Jag / Land Rover for decades.. the little kid in China with an ebay account will get you 50 extra HP WAY faster than those idiots.

...... there is zero. I REPEAT. ZERO. Aftermarket for engine performance of Jag/LR 4.4 / 4.2 engines. Period. You can grab that magnaflow exhaust P/N but that's about it. No tuning, cams, heads, etc etc. Nadda. Zero.

What he said ^^^ . I mean as in "don't even think about it" @StreetsofCompton. It's been almost 11 years; there just is no performance aftermarket and in my opinion, no point. It's a 5600 lb beast, not an AMG.

I mean a few more HP or lb-ft would be nice, but as integrated with software as this powertrain is, I wouldn't try it. The LR3 is not fast, never will be. but it's got it where it counts.

How many of these things do they actually sell? I mean, nobody would fall for this, right?

(insert PT Barnum quote here)

I also belong to a more performance oriented community and unless you have a turbo charged engine, these tunes are mostly worthless. The difference with a turbo charged engine is that they often have to scale back the performance to accommodate for varying fuel types/octanes. You can often get that performance back with a tune if you stick to high octane, high quality fuel.

That said, there's always a way with enough cash.

Supercharging the 4.4L is a bad idea I'm guessing, based on the fact that it is a bored out 4.2L? I know the 4.2L was supercharged, but more pressure on a thinner block might make that a bad idea.

Swapping in a 5.0L from the LR4 ever been done?

The RR sport supercharged is a 4.4L if I am not mistaken...

An Electric car company just bought 3-2015 5.0 Liter supercharged L405 long wheel based cars and gutted the powertrains and some other things like suspension and sub frames. We bought them all. The highest mileage vehicle was 1,023K miles! If someone wants to try squeezing one in their LR3, I would love to see it happen!
