I always wondered what that would be like - they're 4.2l engines though btw - basically the jag engines straight-up instead of the bored-out base model V8's.

You'd have to fool a lot of computer modules into thinking it was a RRS or FFRR SC, but I think it could be done.

Isn't there a different variant of the ZF6HP, not the 26? What about the rest of the drivetrain?

The supercharger also requires a secondary cooling loop and (I think) has some major differences to things like the expansion tank and radiator - doesn't it have a secondary coolant pump too?

Other than that I think the footprint is very similar - it's mostly vertical clearance. LR did a good job keeping components cross-compatible to make assembly and parts stock easier, so it might be possible.

An Electric car company just bought 3-2015 5.0 Liter supercharged L405 long wheel based cars and gutted the powertrains and some other things like suspension and sub frames. We bought them all. The highest mileage vehicle was 1,023K miles! If someone wants to try squeezing one in their LR3, I would love to see it happen!
Interesting. I know one of the chassis development guys for a California based electric car company. He also happens to have a pretty nice D90 (among many other toys). I wonder if he had anything to do with this?

Are you sure? I have a Land Rover retrospective book that was given out at a large sales event that shows the SC sport was a 4.4. But the book could be wrong.

The L405 Trans is an 8 speed.

I'm not sure if I should divulge which company but I can say it's not Tesla, but they have hired a bunch of ex Tesla employees.

It must be, the SC was definitely a 4.2 L derived from the AJ-V8.

"Land Rover also offered a supercharged version of the 4.2 L as that company's high-performance engine. Land Rover's version is not the same as the Jaguar's version but it was adapted from it.[5] Applications:

I have not tried the innovative performance chip but I just got a performance chip from a company called powertune. I was not expecting much when I bought it and it's just ok, no crazy increase in HP but it does give it more pep. If you want a little more kick then I'd recommend it but don't expect to gain a ton of hp. The company also put together reviews on their site from customers. Some just talking about it and some doing 0-60 tests with and without it.

Wow what a marketing ploy you get a A+ for this one. How many chips that are for Land Rover can I buy????

Seriously move on, or prove me wrong post a pic of you with the power tune chip in your hand and your rover behind you. A sign with today's date would be good to

I would try the SC swap from a Sport on my LR3 I think it would work.
