Just air. Or some water if your cowl is warped.

yes I have had water in the car, we could not first find where the water came from, but now the cover plate of the gutter no longer seems to connect, because of this the water runs along the window behind the cover plate in the inlet of the interior air inlet. Now my question was whether there should be a kind of lid on this inlet, because there are also 2 holes in which I think there should be screws.

No, nothing on it. Thats how it looks. You can add something that wont restrict flow. You should replace the cowl. In the mean time, clean the rubber gasket on the leading edge of cowl all the way across and the windshield along it. Then get some cold weather electrical tape and run it along there. It will hold up pretty well for the time being. and not be noticeable.

You can also have water leaks at the exterior a-pillar trim or rotted out sunroof drains (there are four drains total).

All of this is very well documented in the forum, so take a search for procedures on stopping leaks before you start having electrical issues - such as the remote no longer working.

Thank you very much for your answer.
I have already bought a new cover gutter.
Hope it would be solved with this.
We will see if we can put a sort of cap on it to prevent future problems.
