Plastic trim panel at bottom of windshield is broken,....will water get in?
The black plastic trim piece along the width of the bottom of the windshield is cracked. Can water get in through this area,....or is it all weather proof?

I believe the only fear of water could be through the fresh air access thats normally behind the foam filter under the hood.
If that plastic is beat up really bad, thats something to consider.

Assuming your referring to this piece. As far as I know it in not intended to be waterproof and water that gets past it can drain out of the cavity below it however if your HVAC box isn't sealed up tight against the firewall then water can get into the cabin. This can happen without a broken cowl piece though.
The air intake for the HVAC is under there, if its completely gone it is possible. I recently had to replace mine and bought the one on ebay from Malaysia. Fit very, much thicker and stronger, I would recommend it.
One of the wiper plug blanks was missing this rainy season and water would constantly find its way out of the vents and onto the dashboard. Ordered a new blank plug and no more water. So yes, that piece isn’t water sealed, but definitely stops bulk, wind-driven water.
That windscreen cowl from Malaysia is my next big purchase for Myrtle.
i just did the same and second the recommendation.
