Default Jacking up LR3 by rear diff

Went to a tire shop this morning to correct the poor job of balancing my new tires that a Firestone did and noticed they jacked my LR 3 by the rear differential. I’ve always jacked up independent suspension vehicles by the frame, is this an OK practice for Land Rovers or should I be concerned?

All I know is that the factory jacking points are the frame.

Unlike a solid axle where they weight basically transfers to the struts there is none of that with an independent suspension. So it is not good practice but really if it is done carefully it should not hurt anything. But I would not make a habit of it and I would never do it with the rear cargo area loaded up.
