Just bought 05 LR3 have a question
Just bought 05 LR3 with 24k miles on it. So far my wife and I love it. I have a question regarding the phone system. I have the red and Green buttons on the steering wheel along with a talking head on the right side of steering wheel. When I push the talking head nothing happens and when I push the green button on the steering wheel I get phone not attached on the radio. I have tried searching for bluetooth with my i phone and it never finds anything. I have also tried with my wife cheap att phone.
Could it be that I dont have the bluetooth installed on the LR3 even though I have the buttons on the steering wheel?

first, I'm not sure that bluetooth was available in 2005, but assuming it was...here is how it worked for our car.
I press the phone button on the radio console and set my phone to discover. It quickly found the land rover and I selected. The code is 2121
As for the talking head, our LR3 did not come with the NAV disc at first, and coincidentally, my voice activation did not respond. Once I inserted the Nav disk, all voice controls began to work. Not what I expected, but that's what happened. If outfitted, the talking head does more than control the phone, it also works with the NAV and radio systems.

The 2005 did not have an available factory blue tooth system. There was an adapter that was available that would allow a wired cell phone in the center console, hence the dial pad. The 2006 was the first year that bluetooth became available as a factory option.
