RE: key ring question
I have seen this question asked before on other threads. The problem with the LR3 key FOB is that it requires that "funny, little, super tiny, coiled over loop" to which you can then attach a normal key ring. If you loose that tiniest of loops, people have said they used zip ties to some success, but the truth is that your dealer has those original little loops laying around probably by the millions. Just go to any dealer and ask them for one.

Fish hook split ring loop re key ring
I solved the problem with what is called a split ring from a sport fishing supplies shop.
I went down to our local sport fishing supplies shop and purchased what I will call the metal loop, (split ring)that goes between a small hook and the flashing metal lure. They had a couple of different sizes but the little bag that I purchased had loops in it about 1/4" in diameter - works very well. The number on the bag is NSR-06, or size 06 and Made in China. I first tried key cutting shops and it was the key guy that told me to go to a fishing shop as what they had were too big.
