I importedan 06 LR3 from the US into Canada and i am wondering if i can install a block heater. Is it installed and i just need the cord?

My O5 thathasalwaysbeen in Canada and did not come with a block heater even though it has the cold weather package - roof and thirdseat heater etc. I had the LR dealer put a LR block heater in at my cost. $CDN 303.03 plus tax. The block heater is about a hundred, the cord about fifty and extraskeeps adding up until they get to the 300 dollar number.
