Default Land Leaping experience

I just had a weird experience that I thought I'd share with Land Leaping. I ordered 2 rotor retaining screws for an '08 LR3. They were $3.40 each and with shipping to Seattle from Portland (4 hour drive) the total came to $17. It was small change but still rubbed me the wrong way a bit at the price with shipping.

Then the next day I received an email that they are special order and they would have to order in a min quantity of 5. And they requested I send additional payment for the total of 5. I cancelled and will just get them from my next FCP Euro order, however I thought it interesting that:
1) They list as individual items but need to sell in qty of 5.
2) They do not stock as a common item.
3) They do not honor their site listing as each and just retain the extra 3 as stock on hand.

Just not a good experience, especially for a first time customer.

I've ordered OEM sunroof drain tubes from them before twice via Amazon and the price was so cheap, and with free shipping, that I thought it was a mistake. Arrived very quickly. Your rotor retaining screws may not be that common an order as you think and they don't want to lose money on an order (they buy 5, sell 2 and eat 3). I guess what I'm saying is that I can understand how that transaction would be a money loser for them and they asked you to cover their costs.

Hi CC,
I would tend to agree if this was an obscure limited part. However the fit seems pretty extensive. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, however recommended to LL if they don't wish to inventory the additional parts, then they should sell them as packs of 5.
