I can cut the rivets holding the seats side by side and stack them to change the dimensions.

Here they are opened.

 

I went ahead and separated the seats. Easier for me to move and store....

 

Geo, awesome. So just the rivets as you suggested?

 

Yep, 5 minutes max. Pop the plastic off first as it give better access to the rivets. 6 total.
