anyone have that same issue. Just wondering if this could be my issue. I'll post pics when I can.
I've been having the same problem; water on my passenger floorboard. The problem is the windshield cowl; the long plastic piece that runs across the width at the bottom of the windshield. To test this, I dropped the large glove box by opening it up, taking the tab on each side, and pressing in/down on them, then lowering it down completely while I held the tabs down. This will expose the cabin air filter box. Release the tab on the right side of the access panel, which is a slim plastic piece about 2" tall. Move that plastic panel out of the way; it comes all the way off. Pull the air filter out, it's probably wet. Keep it out. Take a cup of water and pour it down your windshield, mainly in the area that looks warped. Then duck back in the passenger seat and look down inside the air filter access panel. If you see a drip, the cowl is your problem. It took mine a few seconds after I poured it to start dripping inside. $80 or so for replacement.

The workmanship/design on these things are horrible. I also had the driver's side floor get soaked due to the elbow on the sunroof drain tube rotting off and dripping every bit of water intake onto my floor and wiring. Awesome. As soon as these carpets dry, I am selling this money-pit.

Anyone want to buy an 05 LR3 SE Dark Blue? =)

light tan interior, 102,000 miles, brand new tires, new brakes, both front control arms replaced within the last year. Wife's daily driver. 2nd owner. I haven't taken it off the road.

Fixed the passenger side leak. Put on a new molding and duct taped front 3rd of the fresh air inlet. Turns out it was the passenger side sunroof tube being blocked off behind the engine intake deal-e-o. Got in the Rover this morning and there was a familiar smell of water leakage.....decided to feel under the drivers side carpet and sure enough, it's wet. Guess I'll try the ole A piller fix and check the drivers side sun roof drain.....

Drivers side drain tube has a tendancy to come out of its hole through the body, and drain directly into the vehicle.

To fix, buy a new drain tube, but you only have to replace the very end that exits the body, as long as the tube itself is good.

Default link to AC water leaks files and jpg's

Below is a link to some files I have related to the heater AC water drains, one on each side of the transmission hump.

Most often one of the drain hoses just slips off due to relaxation of one of the two hoses - it can be just slide back on. Sometime the hose plugs from mud at the bottom and needs a wire to be slide thru it which often can be done from the top - with care.- or it can be the sun drains as you have discovered already.

Pulled off the A pillar yesterday and the "fix" had been done already. Had the circle patch over bottom hole. There is also a hole at the top that's not patched or used for a clip....not sure what that's about. I pulled the ac drain tube off and there was no water trapped in there that came when I bent it down. The water seems to be closer to the door side if the floor. Does that "false pedal" near the door just pull off? Trying to get under the carpet to see if I can tell where it's coming from better. Thanks as always!

Default False pedal bolted to floor.

The top surface of the false pedal unsnaps and pulls outward. You need a really thin screwdriver to slide in the near invisible crack between the surround and the surface your foot sits on.

The surrounding rectangle of plastic is bolted to the floor - unbolts easily once the top cover is off. I put copper grease on the bolt to inhibit corrosion for next time I had to remove the support.

If you had access to a water hose, or even a pitcher of water, open the sunroof, pour some water into the channel area and see if it goes anywhere - starting to sound like a sun roof drain.

Pull the panel below the steering column, and look in with a flashlight, you'll be able to see the drain, and where it exits the body.

It can be a tight fit to get your arm all the way in to reach it from there though.

I poured some water into the drain last night and it sucked it right down. There was a nice puddle on the ground. I'll pull the panel and have someone else pour look to see if there's a crack in the drain hose somewhere. Maybe I'll pee around the driver's side of the windshield and see if there's any ingress there.....

I just finished having the same leaking roof issue but I thought I would add 1 more addition to save some maintenance. In my case the passenger side collected almost all the moisture which cause the rotting of some major electronic joints in the wiring harness that runs under the passenger side plastic molds. The one that took a couple months to fix was the rotting of a wire causing a transmission fault, ride height fault and emergency brake fault. It is a red wire that, in my case, was a factory joint (they are done using blue tape). There were also a couple others that were on their way out. Word to the wise: if you are a little bit handy pick up a package of water-proof connectors (the two joint ends go in, you crimp them and then heat each end so the plastic molds to the original wire). In my case it was 1 red wire joining to 2 red wires up just before the cluster of wires start heading up the wheel well.

Apparently this connection on the LR computer shows a "turn signal fault" which I have heard in some peoples cases a faulty light cause this issue. In my case I had the brake sensor, ride height sensor, a number of other sensors all changed along with racking up a lot of service time when in the end I was able to fix it myself.

Just sending an ounce of prevention. If you don't have faults now you can avert them.
Hi, i had leak of my LR D3 leaks before, just now fixed. the wire you metioned on your reply say " the rotting of a wire causing a transmission fault", how did you do that please?
