Leaky Fuel Pressure Accumulator
Hi Everyone,
Ive developed an intermittent fuel leak on the fuel rail of my 05 LR3 4.4L. The gas is dripping out of the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail and dripping on top of the engine. The manual doesn't say anything about removal or replacement of this part, just the entire fuel rail. Does anyone know if you can open it up and replace an O-ring in there or if you have to find a whole new fuel rail?
Thanks

Dealt with the same thing before.
Honestly it's worth the peace of mind to just do the entire rail.
You can do a rail swap in about an hour, its very easy to do. There's 4 torx screws holding the rail down, just take those out, unplug the fuel rail sensor, pop off and move any vacuum lines in the way and disconnect the fuel line then it pulls up and out. You'll have to do some snaking but the rails aren't rigidly connected and can be manipulated around things. From there just swap the injectors over and reverse the process.
If you go this route it's worth the $15 to get new injector clips, they can get worn out and cause fuel leaks too.
You can get good used rails for under $200 on ebay.
