Lean Code with a clue
My lean bank 1 and bank 2 code is quite mysterious.
I tried all the usuals: MAF sensor, PCV, smoke test, injector cleaning.
but hears a clue that might mean something to someone:::
Does it mean anything if my lean bank 1 and bank 2 code come on after a week or 2 of driving? For example, I’ll clear the code and all is good in the world of dashboard alarm lights. After a few days of driving the check engine light comes back on?
As always, happy driving and yhanks

Just means its likely not a big leak. If it was just one bank, I would lean towards a O2 sensor itself. Although I suppose both sensors could be bad. Generally a code is generated and depending on the issue it may not even trip a CE light until the code it generated and confirmed a certain number of times. So like I said, you could have a very minor leak that generates a code but not to the threshold were the computer decides to tell you about it, until that threshold for doing so is met.
Thank you. This code is so frustrating.
Do you think that since it takes a while to signal the check engine light, that it’s one of the longer parameters to establish. For example, after resetting the code the short fuel trim resets fast, but the long fuel trim takes more time to establish.
similarly, could a be a temperature sensor saying the engine is running hot, so run leaner?
