Hi all,

Newly minted LR3 owner here. Truck is a 2006 SE V8. I recently had it delivered from the auction and was going over it. Suspension needs attention but it run and drives. I was headed out of town for a few days and since both key fobs are dead, I locked it from the dash switch.

However, now I can’t get the truck open. I tried both manual keys in the drivers side door. The key turns but the central locking doesn’t seem to work and none of the doors will unlock. I put in a new battery in the truck before I left so I assume it can’t be a battery issue.

While I wait for AAA, does anyone have any ideas what may have happened? I moved getting new fobs to the top of my to-do list.

The door does not have central locking, its an emergency entry only way to get into the vehicle. Your fobs may be dead or it may be a faulty wire on the passenger side sill, a rather common issue due to water ingress. So pressing the dash buttons to unlock things stopped working is what you are saying tho? I would check the appropriate fuse.
