Lots of transmission flush threads.. Here's a potentially $$ saving tip.
So I hope this doesn't cause a shi*storm and I'll preface this with
*Do you own research on the subject.
*Your car/your risk
So whats the tip?
Ford Mercon SP has been independently tested and proven to be equivalent in makeup to ZFlifeguard6.
Why would you care?
Mercon SP is around $5 a liter/quart vs $30+
Its available locally, globally, and did I mention its cheap.
"I'm not cheap why would I consider this crap?"
Want to flush your transmission? You can buy the Mercon sp fluid run it for 100 miles drain/fill(With ZFlifeguard6 if you desire).
My opinion is you'd spend better money running Mercon SP with a metal pan/filter. You can buy the filter for under $15 and change more frequently.
I've been running it for about 1,000 miles and plan on doing the Metal pan mod, drain whats in there now(mercon), refill with mercon, and drain/fill in 20k miles or whenever I feel like it down the road.
