LR3 US Model

Well before I start, I am aware of the passenger wiring loom fix in reference to the key not opening and locking the doors. The problem is I tried to do it and found the wire but the difference on my LR3 is that the 3 wires were placed differently. Rather than 3 wires being tied together with the black cap. I found two wires together coming from the font of the car and one other wire coming loose from the harness from the rear of the car

There was not enough wire to actually connect all three and I had to splice another wire to connect the wires. As mentioned One wire from the back and two from the front. When I connected the wires my key worked. I tried it a few times then I noticed the horn beep and lock with out me pressing the key. Then my key stopped working again with the wires connected. I am at a loss. Can any one help me with this.
