LR3 Air Suspension
When purchased salesperson told us that the Air Suspension wasn't working, but that their mechanic would sort it out. On collecting the vehicle all seemed well, however after driving for 20-30 minutes the amber Suspension light came on, after a further few miles it turned to red and the audible chime began. After a four hour trip the vehicle was parked in our garage. On checking various parts found that the Air Compressor was not working, ordeed a replacement and fitted it, it did not solve the problem. Maybe it's the ECU module, ordered replacement fitted it still warning light and chime. Eventually losing all hope fitted conventional Coil/Spring Conversion Kit. What do we do to stop the audible warning chiming? Thought removing the Air Compressor would be the answer but it isn't, any body have any ideas....the chimes are .driving the wife up the wall!
If you have a laptop, RSW Solutions has a software interface option. But its not the optimal solution, but it can do a lot for the truck. Just not as much as the GAP IID Tool at $500. Although that $500 pays for itself very quickly.
If you ignore the error it may get worse and result in total system failure. You can do some basic tests to narrow things down, like pull the fuse for the system and let the truck sit overnight to see if it drops. If it does then a strut or valve block may be leaking. The forums are loaded with info on how to sorta narrow things down. But codes always make diagnosis quicker since usually they are correct.
