Hallo everybody, i just get here to the states couple of weeks ago,I have my LR3 with me from europe its 2.7 TdV6,and i was suprised that they are not selling this engine in US,{just wondering} does anybody know why ? what is the real reason ? i know it s not the fuel economy {i can do 26 MPG, easly} i didn't have chance to meet many dealers {to ask} , I spoke to one and it looks like he has no clue. So if someone knows please let me know ,thanx Pier

 

Only few manufacturers sell diesel versions here due to
a) high sulfur fuel (good luckwithyour TDi here, check out VW Touareg TDi stories)
b) higher emission restrictionsand inability by diesel cars to meet those - see a)
c) not that many people reallyabout mileage, esp. considering diesel is pricier than 93 octane in most of the states.
